Netflix announced that they will premiere the anime Kakegurui outside of Japan in 2018. Along with this announcement they also revealed that the premiere date for Fate/Apocrypha. First Trailer for Netflix’s Live Action Death Note Movie

Netflix has released the first trailer for the live-action adaptation of Death Note.  This trailer gives us a our first look at Willem Dafoe as Ryuk. Netflix’s Death Note live action movie will be premiering on August 25. The Live Action Death Note movie is based off the manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.  The Story Follows a high school studen named Light, who one day comes across this Notebook.  The Notebook gives him the ability to kill anyone just by writing their name in it while picturing their face in his mind.

Netflix Debuts Little Witch Academia This June

According to IGN, starting June 30 Netflix will debut the first 13 episodes of the Little Witch Academia TV anime.  However, there is no word if they plan to show the rest of the episodes. The show’s story revolves around Akko who as a child watched the witch Shiny Chariot perform a show, and from then on dreamed of becoming a witch.  She later enters Luna Nova Magical Academy.  During her time there she meets her two best friends Sucy, and Lotte.  Together they learn magic and learns more about the magical world, they also get into many unexpected adventurers.

Netflix is Producing a Live-Action Erased Series

Netflix has announced that they are producing a live-action series adaptation of Erased (Boku dake ga Inai Machi).  Ten Shimoyama who’s known for directing SHINOBI – Heart Under Blade, will be direct this series.  The show will be shot in 4K resolution and will be filmed in Tomakomai City, where the manga was set in. Netflix original series Devilman Crybaby, which is based on Go Nagai’s Devilman manga and will premiere spring of 2018.   Masaaki Yuasa (Ping Pong the Animation, Mind Game) will be directing the new anime at at his Science SARU studio. Not only will Masaaki be directing, Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Valvrave the Liberator) will be writing the script. Aniplex and Dynamic Planning are producing this project. Devilman eries written and illustrated by Go Nagai, which originally started as an anime adaptation in 1972 based off the concepts of Nagai’s previous manga series. Netflix to Premiere Cyborg 009: Call of Justice Tomorrow

TOHO Animation’s CG anime project based on Shotaro Ishinomori’s classic manga, Cyborg 009: Call of Justice, will premiere on Netflix tomorrow (February 10). The original series was a three part movie that aired in Japan back in November.  Netflix has spread these three parts into a 12 episode series. Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) takes the role as chief director on the anime while Koudai Kakimoto (director on the Psycho-Pass movie) will be the film’s director.  Both of them have previously worked on 009 Re:Cyborg film. “Seven Deadly Sins” Comes to Netflix this November

The Seven Deadly Sins is available on Netflix on Japan, but now it’s coming to Netflix in North America.  Netflix has told Forbes that they will be bringing the 2014 anime adaptation of Nakaba Suzuki’s fantasy action manga The Seven Deadly Sins . The anime will lunching on November 1st.  Netflix will release all 24 episodes all in Japanese with English subtitles. This will be the seconded exclusive anime Netflix has to offer, the first was the sci fi Drama Kights of Sidonia.
